Boalt Discovery develops cutting-edge software in the hosted e-discovery and litigation support industry. We are a rapidly growing application service provider and are looking for well rounded professionals to help build our team. Candidates must be motivated, organized, and be able to work independently and efficiently on a variety of projects at once.
Position:
We are currently looking to expand our technical operations team in the North Jersey / NYC area. The Senior Technical Analyst will be responsible for building and managing a team of technical analysts responsible for loading customer data into an Oracle database, manipulating data into supported formats and processing data for images, metadata and text extraction. Position involves hands-on technical work and acting as a point of escalation for resolving issues with inconsistent/incompatible customer data. Must have strong technical background including experience with databases, scripting languages, and managing technical resources. Programming experience and/or knowledge of the legal industry a plus.
Job Duties:
• Leading a team of technical analysts responsible for importing/exporting images, text and metadata into an Oracle database and formatting the data for visibility via our web-based application
• Hands-on analysis, manipulation and loading of customer provided data
• Capacity planning and design of our document processing systems, facilities and team
• Develop and implement policies/procedures related to processing intake system, data confidentiality and chain of custody tracking
• Tracking and documenting billable activities of team related to loading and processing customer data
• Provide reporting on loading, processing and project status to project management team
Preferred Requirements:
• Database experience, preferably Oracle
• Technically proficient with SQL/PL SQL/SQL Loader for importing, manipulating and querying data
• Experience with scripting languages for manipulation of documents and text files
• Experience developing operational policies, procedures and workflow
• Strong customer focus along with project management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the legal, EDD or litigation support industry
